Observatori Fabra Carrer Camí de l'Observatori s/n, 08035 Barcelona

The Fabra Observatory, which houses one of the world’s oldest and largest meridian telescopes, was inaugurated in 1904 as part of the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences of Barcelona and is still in use to this day. During summer, the observatory hosts this special event on top of the usual guided tours and star-gazing nights. ‘Dinner with the Stars’ combines astronomy with gastronomy to create an unforgettable evening. The menu is as stellar as the setting, starting off with a ‘star nebula’ appetizer and glass of cava, followed by a starter and second course inspired by the Milky Way, finishing the meal with a ‘chocolate asteroid’ for dessert. Guests are treated to a tour of the well-preserved interior of the dome which is easily spotted from Tibidabo, and are guided through a night sky viewing to complete the starry experience. The evening begins at 8.30pm, and places must be reserved in advance.
