Enjoy Barcelona’s summer evenings on the rooftop where Antoni Gaudí first designed his chimneys as architectural sculptures. Each evening offers an express tour of the Palau Güell and a live music concert performed by young artists from the Taller de Músics in the Raval. The performance is accompanied by a glass of cava or a non-alcoholic drink.
Before the concert, visitors will discover the most important areas of this urban palace that Eusebi Güell commissioned from his friend Gaudí. The building, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984, stands out for the innovative way in which Gaudí conceived space and light, as well as for the excellence of the fine materials used and the decorative and ornamental work of the craftsmen who collaborated with the architect. Once on the roof, visitors can admire one of the most appreciated spaces. From here, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city. When the Güell family lived here, this view was only available to the servants—who went upstairs to hang out the laundry—or to the Güell family when they wanted to show their guests the cityscape.
