Eufònic Urbà reaches its eighth edition in 2021, presenting a dialogue between the sound, visual and digital-performative arts in various venues, including Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona. The urban extension of the Terres de L’Ebre festival will celebrate, from February 4 to 6, a dozen performances, in addition to inaugurating the artistic installations, which can be visited until February 28.
On the exhibition side, you can see, the visual and auditory installation f () by multimedia creator Tomonaga Tokuyama; the artistic installation Kilobots, by sound art experimenter Lina Bautista; Love Synthesizer by Anaisa Franco and Lot Amorós, a piece that reacts to human contact; and cabosanroque presents Sous les violons la plage!, which portrays the collective destruction of a quartet hanging from the ceiling at the sound of Haydn's String Quartet No. 66.
In the performing section you'll see the premiere in Barcelona of the show by Grandia, Martorell and Vilajuana: Acte De Fe; a rereading of traditional religious songs passed through the sieve of the XXI century; Ferran Fages and Carme Torrent with a piece that combines dance and sound; the folk deconstruction of Lume; David Aguilar and Ánder Fernández with a cinema-concert; Ilaria Sartori and Eloisa Matheu (dialogued performance); and a special action-performance by Alfredo Costa-Monteiro that will resonate throughout the space of the Santa Mònica Arts Center.
