Earl Sweatshirt
to
Sala Apolo c/ Nou de la Rambla 113, Barcelona

There are few stories more fascinating in today’s hip-hop world than the character arc of Earl Sweatshirt. From being the youngest member of Odd Future when Tyler The Creator invited him to join his crew in 2009 — he was so young that he then disappeared off the map for almost a year and a half when his mother sent him to a boarding school in Samoa — to becoming the spiritual father of an entire generation of rappers who, in his image and likeness, conceive of the genre as an imperfect and flawed reality.
Between one moment and another, between the teenage rapper who emerged on the internet three decades ago and the modern successor to MF DOOM that he is now, Sweatshirt has lived several lives. And he’s still just 30 years old. The iconic Doris, the avant-garde peak that was Some Rap Songs, the doubled bet that came with Feet of Clay, his collaborations with MIKE, Armand Hammer or Mach-Hommy: with each move he has added layer upon layers to his image as an irreplaceable cult figure.
