A mind-bending journey into the depths of 1970s cult singer-songwriter Dory Previn’s mind. Interweaving her personal diary, insightful interviews, scenes from her glittering career as a lyricist for Hollywood productions and stars like Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, as well as animated sequences featuring the “characters” that populated her mind, the film reveals the immense talent and intricate psyche of an artist deserving of rediscovery from the Laurel Canyon folk scene (where Joni Mitchell and Carole King also flourished). A lesson in how to confront your personal demons through raw honesty and dark humor.
Film will be screened in original version with Catalan subtitles on November 1st and Spanish subtitles on November 3rd.
