Diego El Cigala
Anniversary Tour of “Lágrimas Negras”
Bebo Valdés & Diego El Cigala.- Lágrimas Negras
Diego El Cigala commemorates, with an international tour the fifteenth anniversary of the release of the album Lágrimas Negras, whose recording he shared with Bebo Valdés (piano), Israel Porrina "Piraña" (cajón) and Javier Colina (double bass). The New York Times said, in 2003, that the production of Fernando Trueba and Nat Chediak for the Calle 54 label was the best album of the year.
On this occasion the cantaor will play live the repertoire of the album that went around the world. This famous record, winner of a Grammy Award, and of which more than a million copies have been sold, was an inspired fusion experiment of classic Cuban songs ("Lágrimas negras," "Veinte años" and "Se me olvidó que te olvidé," among others) with the essence of flamenco.
