London trio Daughter make music for broken hearts, and with lyrics like "and if you're in love, then you are the lucky one, 'cause most of us are bitter over someone" there's more than an echo of misery.
Yet when their cover version of Daft Punk's long-awaited return, Get Lucky, began to appear on blogs, radio stations and well, anywhere you looked, they were catapulted into the mainstream. It's well-deserved recognition too: atmospheric, at times suffocating, dreamy and intricate, it's no surprise that every show sells out and that they've even begun to crack America, having appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman.
