Benefit Concert: Cristales Rotos feat. Luz Verde
to
Hard Rock Cafe Barcelona Plaça de Catalunya 21, 08002 Barcelona
Two of the most exciting rock bands on the local scene play live in the heart of Barcelona. This concert is part of a solidarity initiative working towards a world with no Alzheimer's disease. Proceeds from this concert will go to support the Pasqual Maragall Foundation.
Cristales Rotos is a five-member Spanish indie rock band with deep roots in Reus and Barcelona. It's the brainchild of José Ortiz García (composer, vocals, and rhythm guitar) and Chevi Sevilla (arrangements and lead guitar), two longtime friends. They’re joined by Omar Salguero (keyboards and backing vocals), Amit Wurgaft (drums), and John Curry (bass) to bring their shared vision to life. The band's recent release, El Norte del Eden, is full of infectious pop-rock gems with themes of love, loss, friendship, and fun, and features 80s influences, with nods to Dire Straits, Roxy Music, and The Police, among others.
Luz Verde is a rock ’n' roll band originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Formed in 1995 and currently based in Barcelona, Spain, the bands’ decades of experiences have taken them on the road in Europe and Latin America. The band members are Willbert Álvarez (guitar and vocals), Eduardo Benatar (drums), and Carlos Mendoza (guitar and vocals). They won the Sol Dorado Award for “Best Rock Band” in Venezuela in 2000, and in 2014 were nominated for Best Rock Album at the Latin Grammy Awards for their album El Final Del Mundo Vol. II: Nada Es Imposible.
Don’t miss the chance to see these two high-energy acts onstage at one of Barcelona’s historic rock venues.
