The novel coronavirus has created a huge shock to the global economy in terms of both supply and demand. Many sectors are already in crisis, and the stock market has fallen by around 40%. In this session, Andrew will draw from experience from previous crisis, such as 9/11 and the 2008 global financial crisis, to discuss how governments, central banks and cross-national entities such as the World Bank Group and the IMF will seek to chart a way forward.
