Students enrolled in this eight-session creative writing workshop will begin by briefly reviewing the craft of writing in the three major genres (poetry, fiction and nonfiction). The workshop’s main focus will be on student writing, but students will also be encouraged to explore their own creative process and progress by way of optional readings. The course will be structured using writing exercises and in-depth discussions of student writing. Students will learn how to talk about writing, sharpen their craft and practice active reading. Moreover, students will have the opportunity to publicly read their work at a special COLLAGE reading at the course’s conclusion. The intimate, two-hour workshops are geared toward both beginners and more experienced writers who want to jumpstart their writing.
The eight-session course runs from February 2nd to March 23rd, taking place every Thursday from 7:15pm to 9:15pm, and costs €180.
