La demolició com leitmotiv
Le Corbusier i Jean Genet Al Raval
This three-stage exhibition is dedicated to works within the collection of Barcelona's MACBA that demonstrate the relationship between the artistic process and the urban condition.
The three chapers are: 'Le Corbusier i Jean Genet al Raval'; 'Gordon Matta-Clark. Portfoli Office Baroque'; and 'Roberto Rosselini. Filmant Beaubourg'. The first section examines the mark left by the two architects in their visit to Barcelona at the start of the Thirties, when they turned their attention to the city's streets. The second part showcases 46 of the last works created by Matta-Clark towards the end of his life in the Seventies; while the final aspect uncovers a film made by Rossellini about the opening of the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the impact it had on early visitors.
