City and Science Biennial 2027
For six days, the City and Science Biennial invites you to reflect on the fact that we live in a time full of challenges of all kinds and on all scales, and on how to address, from a scientific perspective, the crises to which we are exposed today.
The City and Science Biennial is one of the most important scientific culture events held in Barcelona, showcasing the firm commitment of the Barcelona City Council to scientific policy. As an initiative of the Barcelona Science and Innovation Strategic Plan 2024-2027, its goal is to strengthen science outreach and communication activities to foster critical thinking, knowledge and scientific vocations across all ages.
The 2027 Biennial will focus on the relationship and interdependence that exists between science and democracy. More than a hundred different activities are scheduled to take place throughout the city over six days, with the participation of numerous speakers and other invited guests. The Science Festival features a multitude of workshops, experiments, demonstrations, itineraries and more offering everyone the opportunity to experience science first-hand.
