Two giants of Romantic chamber music in the hands of exceptional performers. Pianist Christian Zacharias and the Leipziger Streichquartett join forces to explore two landmark works of the 19th century: Brahms’ Quartet No. 2, with its dense and introspective spirit, and Schumann’s Piano Quintet, one of the pinnacles of chamber music repertoire for its rhythmic energy and emotional drama. A dialogue between tradition and interpretative vitality, between depth and lyricism, in a concert that promises to reveal nuances and musical rapport in the superb acoustics of the modernist hall.
