Chief Adjuah
Voll-Damm Jazz Festival
to
Sala Apolo c/ Nou de la Rambla 113, Barcelona

Chief Adjuah, formerly known as Christian Scott, has taken his latest album, Bark Out Thunder Roar Out Lightning, a step further in his career. In it, he put aside his reference instrument, the trumpet, to pay homage to his ancestors and to the African-American diaspora symbolized by the Black Indians of New Orleans, one of the most fascinating musical cultures even today. He does it only with his voice and with a new instrument created by him, Adjuah's bow, described as "an electric double-sided n'goni, kora, harp." Chief Adjuah returns to Barcelona to make us relive the legacy of New Orleans from a radically modern point of view.
