Catalonia, The two faces (Exhibition-Image)
There is a saying: A picture is worth a thousand words. This is the stance the Filippo ioco Studio & Gallery is taking on the very unique and passionate subject matter that is being shared, demonstrated and talked about within local shops, restaurants, cafes, parks and meeting points throughout Catalunya & Spain.
This is a (neutral and nonpolitical) group exhibition showcasing both sides of the coin comprised of seven journalistic photographers showcasing photographic images that have been captured and frozen in time from demonstrations that have taken place throughout the cities. Filippo ioco believes the role of a photographer is to capture a pure and rare unexpected moment that will tell a story, provoke emotion and document the moment of capture..
Such images exhibited will portray a deep passion, whether controversial, peaceful, violent, ugly or beautiful from both sides of the coin. Like it or not it is important to understand that these images are history in the making and should be viewed as such.
Opening Exhibition: Thursday January 16, 2020, from 19:00 to 22:00.
Participating Photojournalists are:
- Fernando Capdepón Arroyo
- Gemma Gómez Forgas
- Justin P Brown
- Maurice Moeliker
- Michael Riley
- Sandra Lázaro
- Vitor Schietti
