Camilla George is a saxophonist, composer, band director and visionary innovator. In 2023, she won the Best Jazz Performance Award at the Urban Music Awards and she has become a leading figure in the new London jazz scene, along with colleagues such as Nubya García and Shabaka Hutchings. Her strong cultural roots and love of merging African and Western music have shaped a unique style. Her most recent album, Ibio Ibio, is a tribute to her tribe: the Ibibio village on the southeastern coast of Nigeria.

A mesmerizing mix of Afrofuturism, hip hop and jazz, with a subtext of political mentality that connects with Nigerian identity, lineage and heritage, and reflects African history, culture and slavery.
