With nearly three decades of history under its belt, Calexico has established itself as a benchmark band for its ability to transform musical boundaries into an almost cinematic experience. The Tucson, Arizona-based group combines influences from rock, Americana, and Latin rhythms, creating a unique sound that evokes the beauty and mystery of the desert. With its founding members Joey Burns (vocals and guitar) and John Convertino (drums), as well as trumpeter Martin Wenk, they will perform as a trio, showcasing their iconic sound inspired by the American Southwest.
Their album Feast of Wire (2003) marked a turning point, earning them international recognition with exceptional reviews from outlets like The Guardian and Pitchfork. In subsequent years, they shared the stage with renowned names such as Wilco, Arcade Fire, and Iron & Wine, with whom they have also collaborated on albums that have received GRAMMY nominations.
In 2025, Calexico Trio returns with a special intimate tour across Europe.
