Costume designer Bob Mackie’s biography has always been intertwined with the name of Cher. However, the stars of the Mackie universe span multiple galaxies, from Carol Burnett to RuPaul, with stops along the way for Miley Cyrus and Tom Ford.

Dressing a character means reading their soul, translating it into images, and offering the audience a story. Over six decades in the industry, overcoming stereotypes and prejudices, Bob Mackie dedicated his talent to making stars look as fabulous as possible. His sensitivity, generosity, and almost childlike exuberance have earned him an impressive list of clients: Doris Day, Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand, Oprah Winfrey, and, of course, Cher. Sequins as a philosophy of life; sparkle as a way to escape mediocrity.

Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Spanish.
