Carmen is Georges Bizet's last opera and great masterpiece, undoubtedly the most popular French opera and one of the most performed in the world today. A passionate and vibrant opera, with unforgettable musical episodes such as the “Habanera” and the “Canción del toreador,” which becomes a tragedy driven by love and freedom.

Set in Andalusia, it tells the story of Carmen, a sensual and free-spirited gypsy, and Don José, a strict and closed-minded soldier. A true fresco of the Andalusian atmosphere around 1830, with soldiers, smugglers and bullfighters, in which the brilliance of the music hypnotizes the audience until the final climax. The desire and eagerness to live intensely have never had such faithful musical translations as that of this beloved opera.
