Barcelona's Bike Festival and Bike Ride is a festive occasion aimed at promoting a safer, healthier and more accessible city model, with the bicycle as an efficient and environmentally respectful means of transport.
The festival starts at 10:00, with thirty organizations linked to the bicycle organizing their activities throughout the morning. Seven cycling circuits will be set up, with different options for all ages with the goal of promoting everyday use of bicycles in a recreational and participatory atmosphere. The festival hosts workshops and activities including various children’s circuits, cargobike races, a bike-painting workshop and more.
As a new aspect for 2026, a bicycle exchange area will be set up to help families with growing children to get bicycles in the most suitable sizes. The area will have more than 100 bicycles from the municipal deposit, dumps and donations, which have been repaired and reconditioned for those attending.Each participant can take along a children’s bike that they no longer use, and in a good condition and exchange it for another to suit their age or size (while stocks last), in an initiative that promotes reuse, waste reduction and sustainable mobility among children.
