Like a sponge, Jessica Smyth has been absorbing a bit of every home she has had, whether it was Ireland, Spain, London or Los Angeles. Although, if we talk about coordinates, her musical career officially began in the classrooms of Richmond College and in the open mics of Soho: there she became definitively Biig Piig under the shelter of the artistic collective NiNe8, founded by Lava La Rue. From there she launched herself into the void, sharing her experiences and generational reflections in small pop capsules that made use of her two languages, Spanish and English.
More than five years have passed since those first steps, but her time has definitely come: Biig Piig debuts in full-length format with 11:11, an album totally devoted to rhythm as a language not only universal but also capable of bifurcating into infinite dialects: hyperpop, house, funk and trip-hop.
