A pianist, organist, singer, songwriter, lyricist, former companion of Steve Miller, and collaborator with iconic figures such as Eric Clapton, Charlie Watts and The Rolling Stones, Ben Sidran is a living legend of contemporary popular music. Having contributed to jazz, blues and rock as a session musician and producer for artists like Van Morrison, Georgie Fame and Rickie Lee Jones, Sidran has also had an illustrious solo career spanning over 50 years with 35 albums to his name, leaving a lasting mark on multiple generations of music lovers.
Sidran first performed at Jamboree in 1999, more than 25 years ago, captivating audiences and creating unforgettable nights. His return at Mas i Mas’25 marks a quarter-century of mesmerizing performances. Journalist Fernando Neira once wrote: “There are artists whose existence justifies a deep understanding of Shakespeare’s language: Dylan, of course, with his Nobel Prize; but also Ray Davies, Stuart Murdoch, Donald Fagen, Joni Mitchell, Morrissey and many others. Without question, Ben Sidran, the pianist, singer, composer, producer, writer and music critic, deserves a spot on this list.” These words perfectly capture the artist’s enduring brilliance.
