This summer, the legendary BARTS (Barcelona Arts on Stage) opens in festival format at Poble Espanyol, one of the most emblematic spaces of the city. Striving to recover the sprint of the old BARTS venue (now Paral·lel 62), the festival brings international acts together with Spanish and Catalan artists, offering a varied and quality programming.
The festival opens with Beat, with two legendary members of King Crimson performing the progressive rock of the 1980s. Other international acts on the program include ZZ Top, Charlie Puth, Biffy Clyro, Elvis Crespo, the tribute God Save the Queen, Belle & Sebastian, Maria Becerra, Ruben Blades, Juancho de la Espriella and Silvestre Dangond.
Artists such as Joan Dausà and M-Clan will also pass through the stage of Poble Espanyol along with Lax'n'Busto, Marta Santos, Shinova, the duo Ojete Calor and Antoñito Molina. Double-header nights include the Gipsy Kings + Los Manolos celebrating their 35th anniversary; and LP + Judith Hill, who have worked with music icons such as Prince and Michael Jackson.
As you might expect, the festival experience is rounded out at the Village, providing a selection of gastronomic offerings and intimate concerts with views of Montjuïc.
