Renowned British musician and composer Barry Adamson, known for his cinematic solo work, is set to mesmerize audiences at Caprichos de Apolo. With a career spanning over forty years, Adamson's tenth album, Cut to Black, is scheduled for release in May and promises to be another cinematic masterpiece.
Returning to Barcelona almost two decades after his first visit in 2007, Adamson will present his new live show, brimming with magnetism, for the first time in a concert venue. Offering a sneak peek into the album, Adamson has released "The Last Words of Sam Cooke," a tribute to the legendary soul artist and civil rights advocate.
Formerly a bassist for Magazine, The Birthday Party, and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, and renowned for his film soundtracks, Adamson's discography is a diverse journey spanning soul, pop, progressive rock, jazz noir and swing. Influenced by film noir and the cinematic styles of the 1960s and 1970s, Adamson's music creates immersive storytelling experiences, showcasing his unique personality and defying musical trends.
