Barcelona’s Christmas Lights Ceremony

Barcelona kicks off the holiday season with a the annual "lighting of the Christmas lights" ceremony along Passeig de Gràcia this year, marking the return of festive lighting to the heart of the city. Last year, the initiative focused on the Nou Barris shopping district as part of an effort to decentralize the Christmas festivities. For 2023, the event returns to one of the most exclusive commercial areas of the city on a key date that will also serve to boost economic activity—November 23, the day on which Black Friday will also be celebrated.
