The motto for this edition of Barcelona’s most beloved charity race is: “And you, who are you running for?” The annual event pays tribute to all those affected by cancer, which is why each race number bears the written name of the person the runner wishes to dedicate the race to—whether that's a sibling, a parent, other family members, or healthcare workers who have cared for patients. In this way, participants run not only for themselves, but also in the name of someone else, making the race even more unique and personal.
Running, walking or cheering, everyone is welcome! 100% of your registration will go to cancer research. The race consists of four distances for all ages and levels:
- Distance 10 km and 5 km (timed) at 9:30, for those who want to improve themselves.
- Distance 2.5 km at 11:00 to enjoy walking or with the family.
- Children's race at 12:00 so that the little ones can also join the cause.
The Cancer Association in Barcelona works to ensure everyone has equal opportunities to cancer treatment and research results. The organization's work is based on three pillars: providing free support and guidance to patients and their families; informing and raising awareness in society about cancer and its risk factors, and creating healthy living environments; and promoting research by funding high-quality projects.
The Association also provides support services, medical and healthcare guidance, and psychological and social care to patients and their families, delivered by professionals in person, online and by phone. It has a presence in 28 hospitals and healthcare facilities where psychological and social support is offered, as well as a volunteer companionship service.
