After their spectacular collaboration with Andrea Motis in the show To Amy, the Barcelona Gospel Messengers return for a Christmas concert at La Paloma that doubles as a tribute to 1970s bands that, as they themselves explain, “became the indispensable accompaniment to the yearning for change of young generations who were definitively breaking with the prevailing social and cultural conventions.”

Listen to the Music, their album and the concert they present this December at La Paloma, is “a song to love and freedom, an energetic dedication to the joy of singing and making music together, and a display of total passion when it comes to transmitting and sharing it.” The music of legendary groups such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Doobie Brothers, The Crusaders and Electric Light Orchestra will be revived on this occasion with the Messengers’ signature arrangements: “vital, energetic, full of vocal and instrumental colors steeped in funk and even touches of house music.”
