Barcelona 2035. A City to Live In is a living exhibition that invites you to discover the great transformations that are redefining Barcelona and evolving with it, updating and incorporating new projects and new perspectives as the city progresses. A point of citizen outreach, a viewpoint on the present and the immediate future, a space of a city that thinks, plans and acts.

Visitors can explore in detail the great city projects displayed on a large table in the center of the room. Maps, models and images guide through the ongoing transformations and explain the impact that they generate on people's lives. A journey that allows you to understand how each intervention is part of a broader city project and how its effects are felt in a concrete way in the neighborhoods and in everyday life.

Where is more housing being generated? Where are new quality jobs being created? How is mobility improving? How are neighborhoods adapting to encourage people to become rooted and strengthen their identities? 'Barcelona 2035' responds by explaining the major areas of transformation of the city: the new neighborhood of La Marina del Prat Vermell, the new Montjuïc as a large urban and metropolitan park, with the renovated Fira and new housing, the coastline and the last pending connection, the Ciutadella del Coneixement as a leading node in Europe, the Tres Xemeneies Sant Adrià de Besòs, the transformation of Sagrera and surroundings, Vall d'Hebron, Porta Diagonal-Campus Clínic and the L'Hospitalet Biocluster as new biomedical and scientific campuses open to the city and the 22@Nord with more housing and urban quality.

Behind this major transformation there is a shared vision and a clear commitment: with a horizon of 2035, the City Council is deploying a public investment of more than 10,600 million euros in strategic projects that are already transforming neighborhoods and improving the quality of life of all the people who live there. These are large-scale projects that are spread across the territory and present a new way of understanding the city: more livable, more prosperous, more cohesive and better connected.

The exhibition is part of the World Capital of Architecture program and dialogues with the other exhibitions hosted by the new Casa de l'Arquitectura de Barcelona, ​​located in the former headquarters of the Gustavo Gili publishing house. On the one hand, the large Pla de Barcelona 2026-2035 model, which shines at the entrance of the building. On the other, Barcelona, ​​a diverse, intense and complex city, a unique look at the city based on data, processes and experiences.
