Baluard Gardens & Santa Madrona Gate
to
Museu Marítim de Barcelona Avinguda de les Drassanes, 08001 Barcelona
The portal of Santa Madrona is the only part of the medieval wall of Barcelona still standing. The original wall was built during the fourteenth century, and the current Baluard de les Drassanes (or Santa Madrona) dates back to the second half of the 18th century.
Both of these historical spaces are open on the first and third Sunday of each month, from 11:00 to 14:00 surrounded by the Historical Recreation Association of La Coronela de Barcelona. Thanks to a recent renovation, it is now possible to access the city through the portal once again and stroll through the Baluard garden, located on top of the wall.
