Nominated for a Grammy Award, Baco Exu do Blues emerges as a significant figure in Brazilian rap. His music defies conventions, drawing inspiration from nu jazz, tradition, and introspective themes. In previous releases like Bluesman (2018), Baco delves into social criticism, particularly addressing the experience of being Black in an unequal society.
His latest album, QVVJJFA? (Quantas Vezes Você Já Foi Amado?) propelled him beyond the Portuguese-speaking market, showcasing his collaborative prowess with Brazilian music legends and pushing hip hop into new territories.
Returning to Barcelona as part of his latest tour, Baco will grace the stage at Apolo [2] on July 12th.
