One of the most iconic works of the classical repertoire was originally written for organ: the Tocata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, which has been adapted for instrumental ensembles thanks to its fascinating polyphony and chromaticism. This classic will be followed by the Concerto for Soprano Saxophone composed by William Bolcom in 2015, which has already been performed in concert halls all over the world. The audience will undoubtedly be intrigued by this enigmatic work, with its virtuoso solo part. The program will conclude with a performance of the Fourth Symphony by American composer David Maslanka, a work whose intensity increases progressively, with a prominent role for the wind section.
