Ruta de Bacallà
to
Barcelona City Centre 08001 Barcelona

There's still time to catch some of this year's Ruta de Bacallà, as 40 restaurants and bacallaneries, or cod stores, celebrate and share one of Cataluyna's most loved ingredients ––the cod fish.
Cod was traditionally eaten during the first few days of Lent, and the traditional merges with the avantgarde at this year's event with many of the participants working to put a modern twist on this traditional ingredient. There's still a lot to check out with this event. 25 of this year's participants are offering menus featuring traditional Catalan cod dishes for €22–€50, and if you're still hungry for more, visit one of the 12 participating bacallaneries on February 28th or March 7th for a tasting, or go to a cod cooking workshop for €35 per person (more information below).
Cooking Workshops:
February 27th: Learn the basics about preparing cod in one class or focus on the more traditional technique at the other. Reserve your spot ahead of time at the link below. 8pm–10pm. Cookiteca, Santalo 64.
March 4th: Learn to prepare your cod in traditional Catalan style, or go for something a little different and take on the avantgarde class. 8pm–10pm. Cookiteca, Santalo 64.
