Fundació Suñol Passeig de Gràcia 98, Barcelona

Art dealer and gallery director Fernando Vijande gained international recognition from the early Seventies to the mid-Eighties. By supporting and strengthening the work of artists he believed had potential, he created original collections. These collections promoted avant-garde movements, rather than the art market tendencies of the times, while keeping in mind his own aesthetic criteria. This exhibition shows pieces by the 51 artists who were part of Vijande's gallery collections during this time, as well as international artists Andy Warhol, Robert Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe.
