Brossa Poetry
to
Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) Plaça dels Àngels 1, 08001 Barcelona

Although most famous for his poems, Joan Brossa collaborated with many other artists, musicians and filmmakers to consistently create works that blurred the lines between disciplines. As such, this exhibition at the MACBA not only displays a comprehensive survey of his work, but also establishes a dialogue about his interrelationship with other artists, including Marcel Mariën, Nicanor Parra and Ian Hamilton Finlay. Hoping to display parallels and tensions between their works, this exhibition also aims to emphasise the performative aspects of Brossa’s poetic practice, which never failed to explore new forms of expression.
