The Comediants company will again be tasked with the Arribo de Barcelona, with Their Majesties Belluga and Tòtil Tocatdelala as the kings of the fun.
The entourage, made up of the Capgrosses de La Rambla (big head figures), the grotesque emperors of the European Courts (by Comediants), the Orquestra Reial del Carnaval (carnival band), the Gegants Vells de la Casa de la Caritat (giant figures) and the Ganxets (musicians), sets off from in front of the Monument to the Santperes, by the Arts Santa Mònica center.
The procession will head up La Rambla, dancing their way along with a float decorated with flowers, while figures from the País de Xauxa pop up at the façades of various iconic buildings along the way. These are the Seven Ambassadors, who represent the excesses of the festive fun.
The procession will dance, jump and sing its way as far as the Palau de la Virreina, where the Taronjada (orange confetti battle) breaks out accompanied by fireworks.
