Noah Gundersen is well known as the founder of the band Courage, but has also been making waves on the folk scene with his solo work. His new album, Carry the Ghost (2015), is saturated with emotion. Its lyrics draw on Gundersen's personal life experiences. His soft voice, graceful piano and beautiful music in his songs almost melt together. He claims to have been trying to find himself during the making of this album; whether he did or not, the product of his journey is some intensely powerful music.
