Anna Bolena at Liceu Theatre
"Divorced, beheaded, died; Divorced, beheaded, survived". Unfortunately for Anne Boleyn, she set the beheading trend.
This lyrical tragedy in two acts was first performed at the theatre in 1847, and tells how the cruel Henry VIII beheaded his second wife Anne Boleyn so that he could marry her lady-in-waiting Jane Seymour. The production will be stage directed by Rafel Duran with Andriy Yurkevych as conductor and music by Gaetano Donizetti.
The first production takes place on January 20th but there will be 10 shows in total finishing on March 5th. Check for times and tickets of the other performances here.
