Nine performers take part in what the company itself calls “a post-Andean Baroque performance event,” which may draw inspiration from the Colombian capital that gives it its title, though it is not explicitly about the city. It is, in fact, an exploration of death and resurrection that goes beyond the traditional or linear definition of the end of life, focusing instead on spiritual, bodily, social and cultural transformations. Bodies and materials form part of onstage political landscapes that explore rebirth and resurrection, paying homage to the resilience of peoples. Ancient mythology, magical realism, and Baroque architecture are part of this alternative world, where queer bodies, Colombian political heritage, and postindustrial and postcolonial worlds intersect.

Andrea Peña & Artists (AP&A) fuses choreography and design to create performance universes that challenge notions of rational humanity. Their works are political yet abstract, transforming conceptual research into theatrical installations. The heart and soul of the company is Andrea Peña, a choreographer with Canadian and Colombian heritage, who in this piece reflects on her roots from a postcolonial perspective. She has traveled to stages around world with her company, presenting works such as UAQUE (2024), Replica (2024), 6.58: Manifesto (2020), UNTITLED I (2018), CERO UNO UNO CERO (2017), KAIROS (2015) and VIUN (2014).
