The exhibition takes us on a journey through the final ten years of Francoism and the collective projects that began to take shape in the face of the dictator's death.
Coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the dictator Francisco Franco, La Model becomes a space for historical reflection with the exhibition I després de Franco, què? (And after Franco, what?) (1965-1975).
In the fifth gallery of La Model, the exhibit delves into the dictator's final years, the repression of the regime and the international reactions that marked those tumultuous days. In the fourth gallery, the question that gives the exhibition its title finds an answer in the presentation of the political and social projects that had been in the making since the mid-sixties and that hoped to become a reality once the dictator's physical presence was history.
The exhibition includes 185 documents, mainly images and graphic documents, notable among which are several photographs of different political figures and significant events, a section dedicated to the covers of national and international newspapers and other important documents, such as extracts from sentences, manifestos or ideologies of prominent movements in the country's recent history. In addition, the exhibition features 15 short audiovisual clips, including videos of the No-Do, archive images and footage from the US television program Saturday Night Live.
