The Ratónkewitz family — a family of mice — has lived in Russia their whole lives, but the neighborhood cats just won't give them a break. Little Fievel has the solution: the family can emigrate to the United States, where all the houses have holes for mice and there are no cats.

However, the arrival to the New World will not be as idyllic as they had hoped, and the family will have to separate. Fievel will have to face a tough situation and find a way to bring them all together again.
