This Sunday, rock ’n' rumba banda Alma de Boquerón will offer a free “vermut” concert, broadcast live online via their Facebook page. The concert will be an acoustic set by band leader Jordi Nacenta, joined by vocalist and guitarist Carlos Mendoza.
This will be the 10th free concert that the band — usually composed of 6 musicians —has given since the state of emergency was declared in Spain in March.
The Boquerones, as they are affectionately called by their fans, released their fifth album, Sonrían, Por Favor (“Smile, Please”) during lockdown. The release included a music video for the single “La Vida Sigue Igual,” which was filmed and edited in quarantine, and which went viral in only a few days.
Alma de Boquerón are known for their high energy, infectious positivity, and catchy original tunes. If you’re stuck at home and in need of a little pick-me-up on a Sunday afternoon, this is not a show to miss. The music is family-friendly, so feel free to let the kids watch too.
