Alejandro Lara Dance Project
to
Centre Cultural Terrassa Rambla d’Ègara 340, 08221 Terrassa

Irreverente is based on the most characteristic aesthetics of Spanish dance and flamenco, but it also bets on the creation of new, lesser-known and unexplored movements. It's a search for the new by both the choreographer and the cast of artists who make up the show.
The cast of 11 dancers possess exquisite technical and artistic quality; the show's choreography relies on the roots of the most orthodox Spanish dance as a parallel to our cultural wealth, which in turn contrasts with a new creative rebirth that is much more spontaneous and rooted in the purest and most current flamenco.
Alejandro Lara
Alejandro Lara started dancing at the age of eight and entered the Royal Professional Dance Conservatory where he trained with teachers such as Merche Esmeralda, Currillo, Beatriz Martín, Mariló Uguet, Paco Pozo and Arantxa Carmona. He joined the conservatory's choreographic workshops when he was only in his second year and performed roles as a soloist with choreographies by Manuel Liñán, José Antonio Ruiz, Arantxa Carmona, Miguel Fuente and Antonio Pérez.
As soon as he left the conservatory, he was requested by different renowned companies to be part of their cast for various tours abroad as well as at home. He choreographs commissions for different dancers from the National Ballet of Spain, Yoko Komatsubara Flamenco Ballet, Ispasion Ensemble, Choreographic Workshop of the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance, Institut del Teatre (Barcelona), Miguel Marchán Choreographic Workshop and more.
