The company, known for fusing the spirit and energy of America's young talent since 1974, celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Under the leadership of Sylvia Waters, who served as artistic director for 38 seasons, Ailey II became one of modern dance's most popular companies, combining a rigorous touring schedule with extensive community outreach programs. Today it is lead by artistic director Francesca Harper.
The American dance company returns to LaFACT Cultural with new choreographies after the dazzling success it had when it performed there in 2018 and 2019.
