Sebald Variations
to
CCCB Montalegre 5, 08001 Barcelona

This opening coincides with the KOSMOPOLIS 2015 Festival (March 17th-22nd), the latest exhibition at the CCCB examines the work of the late German writer W.G. Sebald. It looks at the various ways his writing has engaged with other works of art and pieces of literature since he passed away in 2001, and explores the strategies for using images with texts. Much of Sebald’s work explores some of the great themes of the 20th century, such as migration, historical discourse, politics and the role of the author. ‘Sebald Variations’ invites a critical reflection of the writer’s work and observes his ongoing impact on the artistic world today.
