Looking to get more acquainted with local wines? Who better to learn from than Metropolitan's resident wine expert Miquel Hudin. His seventh enotourism guide has just been published by Vinologue, continuing the series' tradition of discovering "big wines from small regions". This new edition focuses on the relatively new, yet very popular DO Montsant region in Catalunya that wraps around the classic DOQ Priorat. This also marks the third guide for individual wine regions in Catalunya with Priorat and Empordà preceding it.
The Vinologue guides were conceived in 2007 with the dual purposes of being a reference to the wines of the region as well as giving all the information needed to have a fantastic adventure in selected wine regions around the world. In this guide for DO Montsant, 64 different cellars in the region are profiles with tasting notes and information for 225 of the wines.
It's available now from stores around Catalunya or ordering directly from the Vinologue online shop. www.vinologue.com
