The Golondrinas are the boats that take trippers on short tours around the port of Barcelona and to the nearby coastline. In the summer months, however, their remit expands to offer an alternative experience, that of seeing a film while on-board. This year's season starts on June 19th, and will run every Friday and Saturday evening until August 29th, and the screenings (all silent films accompanied by music) will include classic black and white films starring Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton amongst others, a Tom and Jerry festival and productions from the very beginning of the cinematic art. The boats will leave the port at 10pm and arrive back at 11.30pm. Tickets are available from the Golondrinas ticket-office, www.atrapalo.com or by calling 93 442 3106; they cost €28 and includes a drink. And if you're prone to sea-sickness, don't worry—in the event of bad weather, the boat will stay within the calmer waters of the port.
