Next week, Casa Asia is holding two discussions regarding women in two countries, Iran and Cambodia. The first (on September 8th at 7.30pm) looks at the role women have taken in important events in Iran that have resulted in huge changes there and their continuing fight for rights and an equal place in the law. The second event (September 9th, 7.30pm) focuses on indigenous women in Cambodia in particular the result of a study by the University of Oviedo about their current status compared to the Millennium Goals of the United Nations relating to equality, mothers' health and infant mortality.
Entrance is free to both discussions, but places are limited.
