The Fira d'Estocs is a regular event organised by the CorEixample association and this weekend, for the first time, it is taking place in Passeig Sant Joan in Barcelona.
Around 20 stores and professional from the Eixample Dreta will have stalls set up on the street to offer their usual products but at discounted prices. In addition, there will be free workshops for children and a fresh pasta festival; open to all, this will involve a variety of activities related to the traditional making of fresh pasta, including producing the dough and working it properly. At the end of the day, the three best pasta-makers will win vouchers of €50, €30 and €20 each (first to third placed) to spend at the Taller de Pasta in Bruc 85. Alternatively, if you don't want to take part, you can try fresh pasta (ravioli, lasagna or canellons) plus a drink for €6.
The Fira runs on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th March, from 10.30am to 8pm, on Passeig de Sant Joan between Aragón and Consell de Cent.
