Organised by various local associations related to the theatre world, this Saturday, 27th March, sees various activities put on to mark the International Day of Theatre. From mid-day in the Jardins William Shakespeare with the reading (in Catalan) of manifestos for the international day, written by Dame Judi Dench, and for the Associació d'Actors i Directors Professionals de Catalunya, followed by the staging of an excerpt of Richard II.
In the afternoon, the action moves to La Rambla where, from 5pm, there will be a parade and a game in which everyone is encourage to participate, involving finding two matching parts of a theatre programme, which will be able to be exchanged for pairs of theatre tickets for the same night.
