Surprise, surprise, it's another sunny day in Barcelona with not a cloud in the sky. Temperatures are circling the 32ºC mark but the light breeze will make a stroll around the city much more bearable. It's likely we're experiencing the spike in temperatures due to the heat wave which hits 27 comarcas, including Barcelona, and is set to last until Saturday. Perfect if you're going to the beach, not so perfect if you have to work.
If you have been going to a beach in Barcelona lately, you may notice a few unwanted items floating around. Apparently, those in charge of scooping them up have seen a significant rise in the amount of rubbish collected in the coastal waters around the city. This is great news! Now that the increase has been noted, the efforts to fish them out will surely be redoubled.
However, if a day at the beach is no longer on the cards after that news story you can always catch a film. There's more al-fresco movie-watching today, not only from the Gandules film festival but also from Brick Lance BCN's pop-up cinema which, well, 'pops up' today. What's more, as promised, we have a round-up of this week's indoor film releases.
We'll be back tomorrow with more bite-size Barcelona news to prepare you for the weekend.
